Wayne loves to admire the picturesque landscape surrounding his desert community, but he grew concerned about the amount of trash he found dumped across the land. Taking the problem into his own hands, Wayne started the Golden Valley Cactus Cleaners Facebook Group as a way to unite his neighbors and help keep their community clean. Since the group was founded in 2015, they’ve removed over 1 million pounds of trash, including 41 boats, 4 hot tubs and over 17,000 tires.
